- groundnut Oil - ½ tbsp 
- mustard seeds - ½ tsp 
- cumin seeds - ¼ tsp 
- urad dal - ½ tbsp 
- chana dal - ½ tbsp 
- dried red chilli - 1 pc 
- curry leaves - 1 sprig 
- onion - ½ pc 
- ginger - ½ inch 
- green chilli - 1 pc 
- rock salt - to taste 
- water - 1 cup 
- rava - ½ cup 
- lemon - ½ pc 
- coriander leaves - 1 sprig 
steps to do
- heat up oil in a large kadai and add mustard, cumin, urad dal, chana dal, dried red chili and a few curry leaves. allow them to splutter for a few seconds 
- add onion, ginger, chilli and salt. saute until the onions soften slightly. 
- add water and bring it to a boil. 
- start adding the rawa while stirring simultaneously to prevent lumps from forming. 
- cover and simmer for 2 minutes or until the rava absorbs all the water. 
- add lemon juice and coriander. mix well and serve hot.
