vegetable uttapam

4 pcs

ingredients

  • idli dosa batter - 1 cup

  • onion - ½ pc

  • carrot - ½ pc

  • capsicum - ½ pc

  • tomato - ½ pc

  • idli podi - 1 tbsp

  • green chilli - 1pc

  • curry leaves - 1 sprig

  • coriander leaves - 1 sprig

  • cold pressed groundnut oil - 1 tbsp

  • rock salt (pink Himalayan) - to taste

steps to do

  1. mix chopped vegetables, herbs, chilli, salt in a bowl.  

  2. on a hot non-stick pan, add a ladleful of uttapam batter and add a layer of the mixed veggies. sprinkle podi over the veggies and drizzle some oil or ghee around the edges. 

  3. let it cook for 1-2 minutes and flip the uttapam and cook in low flame for 2 minutes or until the veggies get golden brown and crisp. serve hot and enjoy.
